How Long Does A Kitten Stay With Its Mother?

The average kitten stays with its mother for five to six weeks, and then goes to live in a litter box. The litter box is usually placed in the basement or other cool place of the house, away from drafts and where they won’t get wet. When your cat graduates from his/her infant stage, he/she will begin exploring around the house on their own during playtime. They’ll also begin interacting more readily with you than before as an adult, so be patient when it comes to training them not to scratch furniture or bother other family members too much!
