Generally, kittens are very expensive. In fact, a kitten is not a good investment unless you have the money to spend. A kitten should be able to eat three meals per day and get lots of play time each day that they’re awake. Many people end up having a litter for this reason alone—they can’t afford to feed their cat every day because it takes so much food! If you think about how many pounds of food your cat needs daily, multiply by 20 or 30 if you don’t already own one (a few cats require significantly more than other animals), and consider what it costs in vet bills when things go wrong, then decide if its worth the expense. That said, some cats do live with us for years without ever needing any medical care–so there is hope for everyone!
How long does it take my puppy/kitten to grow out of his/her baby phase? How old will he/she be in 6 months? 9 months? 12 months? What stage comes next after that???
