The formula that I use is called Eukanuba. It’s an excellent brand of kitten food, and it’s the one I recommend to my clients. Keep in mind that you’ll be feeding your kitten for most of her life so buy a good quality product without worrying too much about cost! The amount you will need to feed depends on how old she is when you first introduce her to food. If she was born at or after 8 weeks then simply offer the recommended amount as described below – if not, consult with a vet before increasing these amounts: At birth 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon every 3-4 hours until 7-8 weeks old When introducing new foods start by offering two teaspoons twice daily (at mealtimes) gradually increasing this over time As she gets older increase the frequency but NOT the amount – i.e., don’t start leaving out 2 teaspoons from 9am to 5pm each day as this would result in overdosing NOTE: If using canned cat milk substitute give 1 teaspoon twice daily instead of solid food 4 – 6 months old ½ – ¾ tsp twice daily once kittens have been weaned from mother’s milk This should always be done under a vet’s supervision). After weaning ½ – ¾ tsp once daily Once kittens are usually fully grown they require no additional food other than treats!!
