Kittens eat a little bit less at first, then gradually increase their intake to maintain body weight as they grow.
What if my kitten eats too much?
Your cat may be overeating because of illness or other health problems. In this case, you should take your cat to the veterinarian for an exam and treatment as soon as possible. Remember that not all cats will show signs of overfeeding when it happens; some may not even realize they’re eating too much. If your cat is overweight, speak with your vet about ways to help her lose the extra pounds after she’s been checked out by a physician.
