Q. I have two English cocker spaniels and one tortoiseshell cat, and we all love each other to death. However, my cats like to go outside during our heat wave (it’s been in the 90s here lately), which is fine if they don’t come back dirty from playing with their friend at the corner of the yard. The problem is that they pee on everything! They take care of themselves just fine when inside but won’t clean up after themselves once outside — including covering any spots where they’ve peed before coming in so it doesn’t happen again! We’re going through a lot of paper towels because male dogs pee everywhere too, so what can I do besides ignoring them until it dries? And how old should a kitten be before you bathe him?
