How Soon Can A Kitten Be Spayed?

Kittens should be spayed or neutered as soon as possible. When kittens are young, hormones can cause behavior problems that may make it impossible for them to adjust to household living with other cats. Both males and females have their first heat at about 3 months of age, but the female does not come back into heat until she reaches 4-5 months old. The male kitten will not reach his first heat until he is 6-8 weeks old (if you don’t believe me, ask your vet).

How do I know if my cat is pregnant?

Most cats will show no signs of pregnancy until they begin having vaginal discharges after they go into heats. If the diarrhea continues right on through the next season without a break then you likely have an unspayed female in heat which means her pregnancy will continue every year unless she’s fixed so now is a good time to get her fixed! Also keep an eye out for nipples on her tummy. Unneutered males have nipples too so check there too if need be! But tis all up to you whether or not you want to take care of this situation before it gets worse than it already has been 😉

Do cats experience feelings? What makes them sad / happy / scared / etc.? Can I train/choreograph my cat?
