This is a question that everyone has asked themselves at some point. There are no easy answers and I have come to the conclusion that it depends on a few different factors. First of all, you need to decide if this will be an indoor cat or an outdoor cat. An indoor cat will have sex within about 8-10 weeks of being born while an outdoor kitten may take up to 3 years before getting her first litter. Now let’s talk about age for a moment; kittens tend to get their first litter between 4 – 6 months old but once they hit puberty (between 16 – 18 months) they become sexually mature and can reproduce as early as 2 – 3 years old!
Upon reaching sexual maturity your kitty should begin marking territory by spraying urine in order to attract males; females tend not do this however so you might want to make sure she knows exactly where she’s going! It is also important to note that female cats don’t like sharing their manmade dwellings with other cats so make sure there aren’t any other felines around when your little sweetie starts doing her business because she could be spayed if caught inside another feline’s space! Also remember not only does the male play a role in fertilization but he plays just as big of one during pregnancy and nursing: You must always feed them separately from each other and clean ‘em out immediately after mating or even better after birth because those poor ripped apart
