A: Cats have a strong sense of smell, so the best way to get your kitten drinking water is by offering it from a dish. Put some fresh water in a dish and let him drink from that; or fill up another shallow bowl with fresh water. You can use this method when you are out and not able to give him his regular bottle of milk at each feed time. This also works well if you want your cat to stay away from the toilet bowl – they will be more likely to go for the “fresh” water when it’s an option! If he is already drinking normally, then do NOT put any other liquid into his container (water). He may decide that he does like it better than milk!
Q: How can I tell my pet is sick? What should I do?
