What To Feed A 4 Month Old Kitten?

You don’t want to overfeed your 4 month old kitten. In fact, you should not feed a baby kitten more than 1/3 the adult cat’s daily caloric needs at this age. Once they reach 10 months of age, cats can eat up to twice their body weight in food each day! To determine how much your kitten is gaining or losing on a daily basis, put a measuring tape around his neck and take note of his current size. Then measure again once a week until he reaches maturity (usually between 12-14 weeks). You will see that with proper nutrition from an early age, your pet will be ready for adoption when it comes time to find him or her new home!
