Kittens are very curious about everything, even people and things they don’t know. Some kittens will grow into sweet pets that love everyone and everything; others may never become socialized to their new environment. With proper care and attention, however, most kittens do eventually learn to trust humans and other cats. Of course it helps if you already have a cat (or at least one friend) your kitten can bond with! If you already have a cat or two in the household who approves of your choice to adopt a kitten, be sure not to let them bully the little newcomer too much as this could make life difficult for both parties later on.
There is nothing like meeting an adorable young feline face-to-face – just remember that unless you really want another pet – having more than one might mean getting rid of some – there is no guarantee that every kitten will turn out well once old enough to leave its mother and begin living independently.*
