When Can A Kitten Drink Water And Eat Solid Food?

Kittens can begin to eat solid food after they are about three weeks old. Some vets recommend that kittens be weaned off of formula and onto a kitten/adult cat (kitten-specific) meal at around the same time as the kitten begins eating solid food. If you feed your kitten on demand, even while sleeping, then it is likely that your veterinarian will want to see the baby before starting any sort of feeding schedule.
