When Does A Kitten Open Its Eyes?

A kitten’s eyes usually open at one week old. The gums of their mouths are pink, and they’re getting used to the feel of things. If your kitten is very small (under 8 weeks), it might not yet be able to see well enough to open its eyes properly – but if this isn’t fixed by 9 weeks, you should consider taking them out for a check-up with an eye specialist!
