When Does A Kitten Stop Growing?

A kitten grows at a steady rate until it is about 12 weeks old. At this point, the mother cat will start to produce milk in order for her kittens to survive. Some female cats can continue to produce milk into adulthood, but most stop by 6 months of age after they have had their last litter. Female cats that are not pregnant or nursing should also reduce their food intake by 10% once they reach six months of age, as this will help them lose weight and keep them healthy throughout the rest of their lives.
