When Is A Cat No Longer A Kitten?

” is a question I’m often asked.

In my opinion, the cat has no age at all. A kitten only appears to be a kitten when compared with its mother and siblings who have been raised in a home environment away from other kittens, whereas an adult cat is already fully developed into the breed it is by that time of life. The same can be said for dogs too: how old do you think your dog really is? In fact, some breeds are so advanced they can live beyond their “thirty-first birthday”!
