Kittens should start eating kitten food as soon as possible, preferably within the first 24 hours of birth. If you have a multiple-cat household, it’s best to begin feeding the kittens from one litter at a time so they don’t eat too much and lose their appetites for each other! Older cats may not always accept new foods. In this case, try mixing in some canned cat food with his regular kibble to help him adjust.
