When To Stop Feeding Kitten Large Portions?

Every kitten is different. You can start by offering a small portion of food and then working up to larger portions as the kitten grows. For example, if you have a 2-week old kitten, give him one teaspoonful of canned cat food every day for the first week. As he grows bigger you may need to increase his servings by 1/4 or 1/2 teaspoonfuls each day until he has grown out of baby food and into regular table fare at about 4 weeks of age (8 weeks total). At that time you should only give your kittens normal sized pieces from their original serving size up to however much they want from there on out! This will help them learn that they are not babies anymore and that it’s okay for big cats to eat big meals too!
