My 5 month old cat has long teeth, and I’m worried that he might bite something off one day. The vet says its OK for him to have his teeth like this because they’re “normal” for a kitten. He doesn’t seem at all concerned about it; we feel sorry for him when we think about what could happen if he did bite someone (he’s the only pet in our house). Is there any reason why kittens grow their canines like this? Or does it just mean he’ll get older before his adult teeth come through? Thanks! (05/22/2007)
