Kittens have a lot of energy and need to express it through play, which means that they will often bite when they don’t get what they want. Kittens are also very curious creatures so you should always supervise them closely when playing with them. If your kitten keeps biting or scratching for more than 3 or 4 days in a row please take her to the vet because this may be a sign of something much more serious.
Why does my new kitten keep running away?
A kitten can be hard to catch but if she doesn’t like where she is there is nothing wrong with letting her explore new places on her own terms. It’s best not to chase after kittens as it causes them even more excitement and stress than necessary. When your cat starts getting too far ahead of you just wait for her at another location then go back together again once she has allayed any fears/anxiety etc by returning home safely. You can try giving her treats that reward good behavior (a bit like clicker training) such as canned food that has been cut up into tiny pieces, cooked chicken skin (cut up), some cheese cubes soaked in milk (the little bits won’t hurt!) or dry biscuits crumbled up into small pieces.. make sure none are too high in fat content though! Please note: Never leave any treats out on the floor where your kitty can reach them! Always place these down first on top of an appropriate surface like newspaper / cardboard etc before putting
