There are many causes of diarrhea, but some are more common than others. Diarrhea is often caused by a bacterial infection or parasitic infestation. What should I feed my kitten?
The majority of kitties have no special nutritional needs other than good quality commercial cat food available at most pet stores. A vet can help you select appropriate foods based on your kitten’s age, weight and health concerns (see Choosing the Best Food for Kitties).
